Summer of Magic Draft @ CCE tomorrow? (25/8)

Hi - After Hari’s well-organised Summer of Magic Draft yesterday, I am trying to find out if anyone else is interested to turn up. This is a really good draft format, with 1st place getting 4 boosters, 2nd place getting 2 boosters, 3rd and 4th place getting 1 booster, not to mention the Summer of Magic Promo foils.

Hi Peter - Congratulations - Heard you qualified for Nationals. Your Mono-Green Aggro has been a very consistent performer! With an excellent metagame Sideboard too!

Jude does the Impossible

Jude qualified yesterday late afternoon beating Keat Kung ( Keat Long`s bro ) in the Quarterfinals of the Nationals Qualifiers Ipoh. Jude (21) single was piloting a R/G Goyf deck whilst Keat Kung piloted the RB Satanic Sligh. However it is not know when Jude will treat all his friends for lunch to celebrate his achievement.

OhMyGod, It’s OmniChord =)

Darn it. I thought I had it solved. I played a variant of the U/G/W Blink Deck (you can check it out at http://playbook.wordpress.com) with the intention of having:

a. Lots of blinkable life gain outlets to combat Rakdos

b. 3-drop and 4-drops so that I can swing back.

c. Anti-aggro walls.

d. Riftwings and Riftwatchers for an airforce.

With a Teferi’s Moat & Take Possession modification, I only had an even performance against mono-green aggro (lots of untargetable creatures) (Played with Carlson at Comics Mart and Peter at Manawerx). The games that I did win were those where the airforce landed quickly. Support from Crovax / Moat also helps. So very mixed?

But I couldn’t beat Hari’s OmniChord. Even with 4 Teferi, 4 Vesuvan and all sorts of counterspell goodness. Need to find a different deck.

I will look for an OmniChord playguide and put it up for all to see. Btw, the TPF and Tenth Edition (10X) Pick Orders are now available at http://playbook.wordpress.com.

P.S. I suggest playing at Comics Mart Mid Valley? They have got nice tables… what do you guys think? Can easily take a komuter there… We can discreetly draft there, via Vincent / Aniki of course.

Hi - Anyone out there testing for Nationals?

I am looking for a playtest group for Nationals. Preferably Saturday mornings e.g starting this Saturday morning at Comics-Mart Mid-Valley. Say from 10am to 2pm, then I can drive us over to Berjaya Times Square for Constructed & Draft.
